Setasilk is a high-quality water-based color that is vivid and intense for painting on silk. It is fluid and fuses easily on silk. The colors can be mixed together and dry quickly when exposed to air. It can be used on all types of silk and can be thinned with Setasilk thinner. The colors are opaque and have a brilliant finish. They can be fixed in 3 to 4 minutes on the reverse side of the fabric with a hot iron. After fixing, the colors can resist handwashing and dry cleaning after 48 hours. Soft and thin brushes, such as pure squirrel brushes or synthetic Aqua range brushes, are recommended for painting on silk. Foam brushes are also useful for backgrounds and washes. Brushes can be cleaned with soapy water. Setasilk is suitable for all silk painting techniques and maintains the silk's flexibility while offering a rich and bright color palette.
